Atlantic Crossing 2011/2012

I am looking for an opportunity to make an Atlantic crossing from Europe to the Carribean.

I am interested to learn about:
- bareboat charter
- part of a crew
- as a working passenger

(in that order)

Do you guys have some pointers for me?
thx!

:)

Why not fly to the Carib and work for a charter company when you get there?

Is it possible to get a job there or is that more of a pie in the sky type job.

The majority of crossings take place in the period mid November to March. generally before Xmas is risky but the ARC goes then so do many sheep.

You say from Europe so I guess from the mainland. You could try posting something on the ARCs facebook page. Their entry list is already oversubscribed and a waiting list has started. Many ARC cruising couples boats want extra crew.

Register on the crewing sites esp Findacrew.
