I installed my new Attwood bildge pump - traded my 'new' Rule 1100 back to West Marine. Works perfect since I installed with new wiring from battery..

I also installed a new radio - Dual head unit with 2 speakers - $ 69.00 at West Marine. Had it installed for 20 bucks. No CD player - all from Iphone...

Next -
1. New distribution panel upgrade
2 - Installing 15w solar panel this weekend and solar controller.

I like the iPhone/iPod approach. I've done the same on the Smacktanic.

My only question is where to put the speakers...

the original location is on the port and starboard sides of the cockpit - 1 each
these holes have been filled in with the clear 'port' holes ? very nice look, but the holes are now 8 inches and the speakers are 6 1/2.
I would have to actually leave the port hole bracket in and drill holes in it to mount the speakers... my other option is to just buy some speaker boxes and keep them in the cabin.

My advice would be to mount them in the center of the port lights - install some pink neon around the remaining plexi - and have some crazy sick lighting effects for the cockpit for those late night raft ups with the ladies. I think you can find the instructions in Chapman's Chapter 22.

Seriously, I went with the boxes. I can stand to chop any more holes in my boat.
