Designer Wanted

I need assistance in finding an individual who can design a 30'' light displacement sailboat for me. Haven''t been able to find a website other than the big firms, which I can''t afford. You can post to the board or e-mail me privately at arthurwkelly@msn.com if you wish. Thanks!

I still do occasional yacht design work and I also sometimes work in collaboration with other designers. Please email me with what you have in mind?

Woodenboat has a variety of ads for different designers. Dudley Dix, from South Africa, shows some interesting light displacement boats in his ads. He also wrote a Woodenboat article (about a year or so ago?) on building a 36'' boat in his backyard. For a more traditional approach, (and perhaps a bit heavier), Reuel (sp?) Parker has a couple of books out with different designs he does.

Designer Wanted

Lots of names at:
http://boatdesign.net/directory/Designers/

I didn''t notice two Boston names - Jim Taylor in Marblehead, his work includes the Sabre production designs.
Also, Bob Dresser did the Open 40 SPIRIT OF CANADA, and might have the right outlook, see:

Good luck.
