Another whale encounter.

Saw this on MSNBC Website

Can't we get the Coasties to require these whales to take some sort of safety course so they know the rules of the road???

Look, if you're going to name your boat after a whale - you have to expect an eventual visit:

Quote:
Crew members aboard the L'Orca were safely in the cockpit and unhurt during the encounter, said Ryan Barnes of Portland, Ore.

Where's Captain Ahab when you need him, these whales are starting to get out of control.

Follow the link to the story. In this case, the whale decided to come aboard the vessel.

I propose all recreational mammals over 8 meters be required to be fitted with either a Type II or Type III MSD while operating in the navigable waters of the United States.

Well - y'all know I don't carry firearms on board, but I might start carrying a harpoon!

sailhog has a spectacular aura about sailhog has a spectacular aura about
My last whale encounter was at the Tugboat Grill and Bar in Steamboat Springs, Colorado in 1994. It amounted to a quickie in the closet behind the prep cooks quarters, and afterward I resolved to turn over a new leaf. No more whale encounters! I was going to sit tight and wait for true love to arrive. I waited and waited, but nothing happened. Still more time passed, and nothing happened. Then, while smoking weed behind a dumpster at a Dunkin Donuts with some perverts from my remedial home ec class, I met the woman who would become my wife! Since then life has been grand!
