I'm in AR too. and sail mostly on Lake Maumelle, just w. of Little Rock. (when I have a boat). There's a edey and duff Stone Horse for sale in the local papers. Check them out. I also like Dovekie, and Alacrity.

There was a Sage at the boat show in Annapolis last weekend too, and it looked sweet!

I have a Canadian Sailcraft 22. It is an amazingly stable pocket cruiser with cast swing keel. I have sailed it all over the Great Lakes, it is easy to single hand and will handle 8-10 foot waves and 30+kt winds. It has great upwind performance (as a matter of fact 2 days ago on Lake Erie I was coming upwind into port and passed 3 larger sailboats). I am taking it south this winter to liveaboard for a few months.

HOW BIG A TOW VEHICLE?
and where will she be stored (wet/dry) and mast up or down.
budget?

fwiw, I have a waterballast macgregor 26 (d) and, I'd call it a big little boat. biggest berth in anything I've seen under 40' (cal king aft berth).

-not to be confused with the later model macgregor power sailors.

venture 19 - 22 would also fit you size range... and there were a ton built, and seem to hold their values.

(but the answer the Original post, the FS. or maybe a 470 or FJ) but you can flip any of them, so a heavy keel boat would probably be better..

OH, single handing?

(cat 22-25 would also be good choices).

Check out smallcraftadvisor.com and/or Small Craft Advisor magazine. Lots of useful information.
