Swiftsure Race 2011 Perry sweep

I'm feeling a bit big headed this morning as three of my boats won all the classes in the Swiftsure race this weekend.

The old vetran NIGHT RUNNER was first in Class B and First Overall.
ICON, my carbon 65'er was First in Class A and 3rd Overall.
CARIAD, a very cruisy Valiant 42, won Class C and was 4th Overall.

I don't think that has ever been done before.
I'm sorry Spike was not here to see it but maybe he did.

Congratulations.

Nothing beats a well designed boat, well sailed.

Congratulations! It's a great feeling having your work validated.

The neat thing is that those closest to us can see our greatness before we can ourselves. I'd bet Spike was proud of your accomplishments without these wins.

PS, just watch out for sneaky little buggers with pins.

Nice going dude!!!!! A huge, solid win for Spike.

And Jack nailed it with his comment above. Good work Bob. As we like to say about one another at my business..."You don't suck."

Smack:
Thanks.
I kind of felt the same way.
It was a weird Memorial Day weekend for me. I should have been on cloud nine with the Swiftsure results but I had trouble getting off cloud 2.
Spike would have been very proud of me. He always was anyway.

You forget to wear the t-shirt BP ?

Anywho, of course he'd be proud. You've designed a couple of half way decent sailing boats over the years while all my dad ever did was marry two women at the same time and have two sons with the same name. You choose.

Impressive. We always knew you made great boat designs and here's some objective proof! Congrats, grumpy ol' man. You earned it.

Tom

PS: Of course Spike is proud. And I'll bet he knows.
