Good Machine Shop in Florida

2 Attachment(s)
Hi,

I'm looking to get my chainplates remade and I was wondering if anyone knew a good machine shop in Florida. We are in St. Augustine but are willing to drive anywhere in Florida so long as the shop can do what we need. Seems we need a place that can do rolling and braking with a press brake as there are quite a few bends in the plates. They are a little complicated (see photo), but I don't think they are impossible to make. We've already had trouble with one shop here, and have had to get a refund because we were so dissatisfied with their work  oh well....

I bend metal everday and can see why your having trouble as thats a really complex part to make without and orginal drawing AND procedure as its really hard to press brake curved parts

Have you contacted the original boat builder? Maybe they are still in business and have some in stock.

Stormbay, you might call some of the yards, or Sailorman in Fort Lauderdale, and ask them if they know any really sharp local shops. That's one nasty chainplate design.
