Question on Selling my Sailboat
Hello,
I have a 1971 Catalina 27 that I need to sell as I am recently divorced and I am afraid it is too much to handle on my own. Can anyone give me an honest fair opinion of what price I can ask for it? I have looked online and comparable boats go from 3-10,000K but given all the work and new things on it I dont have any idea
My ex did a ton of work on it including overhauling the mast and replacing the sail; Here is a breakdown of work done: she has not sailed at all since all this work was done so it all is brand new.
- replaced all standing rigging
- new furling gear and 110% genoa from North Sail
- replaced all sheets and halyards, ran halyards internally in mast.
- new mast step and head and sheaves
- new mast wiring
- added spreader lights
- insulated ice box
- plumbed icebox
- rebuilt carburetor on outboard
- rewired running lights
- replaced all mast lighting
- replaced furling deck hardware
- replaced boom end and topping lift
- reran sheets to the cockpit with a pair of turn blocks and clutches
Thank you,
Louise
