micheck is on a distinguished road
Dumb Question: I have 4 halyards and one winch

How do I configure everything in the most economic manner to control these halyards - 4 rope clutches - 4 cleats (how) ...

(For info: 300 sq ft mainsail and 250 sq ft others)

blt2ski will become famous soon enough
I have clutches in front of the halyards, so I do not have to keep a halyard on a winch, then tie off the other end. Simplest way I know how.
