Lake Travis folks

I'll be visiting family in Round Rock and am bringing a boat down to putter around on Lake Travis one of the days I'm down there. Family lives in an apartment so I'm looking for a storage place to stow the boat and trailer for the four days I'm there when I'm not using it. Any suggestions on storage places on the east side of the lake?

Wish I had a friend on lake Travis with a boat.

Careful tho.... The lake is very very low and sand bars becoming massive.

And don't forget sunscreen.

Lake Travis is getting smaller every day and I don't think last night's rain will help much.

Hopefully a boat ramp will be open. It's a dinghy sailor so if I get stuck on a sand bar, me and my newbie crew should be able to lift it out, lol.

On the north side of the lake near Point Venture, there is a county park on a point out into the lake. You can launch there if you have a light boat and a truck. It is all gravel/rock but you have to be careful as you can get stuck in the gravel.

I'd like to hear from those familiar with the lake when is a good time of year for sailing on lake Travis?
Temp doesn't matter too much as long as there's a breeze.

I ended up not taking the boat down with me this past weekend. The forecast just didn't seem to be for much wind so I'll take her down another time. I did check out a few marinas though.

Really any time except dead summer. The winds are honkin' in the spring and fall - and it's typically warm enough in the winter to just keep sailing.

In the summer you just have to watch the forecast and wait for some breeze.

Okay, so it's similar here. I'm 4 hours away so I think I'll just wait until fall. Really a pretty lake! Any good restaurants you can pull up to in a boat (kinda like Hula Hut on Lake Austin)?
