how to make my dream a reality?

so i love sailing i'm 15 years old and working on boat and sailing is my hobies. right now i got a 14' chrysler speed boat with 50 hp johnson and a 16'sailboat i love both of them greatly but i want bigger. now i'm not saying withing this year or the next but before i'm 17 i want to sell both of them and get a bigger boat.
i would like to get a 22-25 trailerable sailboat that will stay at a mooring. my question is how do i make this happen i like to think ahead i know if i sell boat the boats i could get 2500 probally. but as i sayed i not right now. i just finished restoring my motor boat an that took 6 months and it's just going in the water for this year next weekend. how could i get a 22 sailboat. how much would it cost? also how big of a mooring would it need because i would need to get that before i got the sailboat so if i could look around and in a year or so find a big enough mooring to put out there i will.

Look on Craigslist and at local boatyards. Shop for a while so you know what's out there at what prices. Check with your harbormaster or boatyard for mooring rules, but those boats can use one pretty light (100 lbs?).

Walk around marinas, boat yards and look for an older boat. Ask the marina managers if there are any small boats that have not paid marina slip fees and are being sold by the marina for unpaid fees. while riding your bike around look for boats sitting on trailers in folks backyards. Keep your eyes open! I'm sure you can find a really good deal. talk to the "old salts" they may know of a boat for a song. Also some will be keen on helping a young enthusiastic sailor get his dream going. Good luck!
