Chesapeake Bay (Sat)

Had a great day on the bay! Don't go there, ha, ha. Left out of Pax. river, crossed the bay, and back, good wind, sun, and plenty of company,(other boats). I hope I waved to one of you.

We sailed from the Herring Bay 1, around Sharps Island Light and back, so we looked down your way. Saturday was one of those days where its great to be a sailor.

I was there. Came out of West Basin Marina about 1:00 pm on Saturday, and returned around 6:30 - 7:00. But I certainly didn't get across the bay, only to about Cedar Point. That's the problem when you're still learning.

I thought it would be a great day but did not get on the water in Whitehurst until 11:30. When I got past Gibson Island the wind just died for the next 4 hours. Went back and ate diner in Annapolis. Still searching for a great wind day this season.

Saturday was a beautiful day indeed in the Lower Chesapeake. Participants of the Leukemia Cup Regatta of Stingray Point (Deltaville, Virginia) could not have asked for better conditions.
