Talking Marblehead to Halifax race

...was totally crazy yesterday! Between the Canadian warship telling everyone to stay away from them by at least 500 feet (didnt happen), to the swearing lobsterman complaining that the ferry boat ran over his pots on channel 16 (and he got yelled at by the USCG..served him right), to the gazillion "help me towboat US!" calls, and finally to the 1000 other sailboats watching the race; it was a fun but hectic time.

We tried to be smart and went well south of the start, only to end up right in the middle of the course as the boats all sped north and east to Nova Scotia. I dont think I go in anyone's way, but apologies to anyone who thought we were too close. At least no one flipped us off or even scowled at us. But, it did make for some very good photos:

Nice pics. A friend of mine's son is on White Rhino a Swan 56. There's a website to track their progress.

Minnewaska will become famous soon enough
A real race, with real boats that I can relate to. Same with Newport-Bermuda, etc. Like em much better than the Americas Cup. Nice photos.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.
