Penobsoct and environs

I posted this way way way down the list for NE US - but I don't think anyone scrolls down that far.
---------------------
Ahoy

OK - Thursday we hope to start down the river, through the Reversing Falls, out into the Bay of Fundy and turn right (west). We plan to spend the next four, five or six weeks in, around, above and maybe below Penobscot Bay.

Anyone want to have a Sailnet hookup, share a beer or a coffee?

We will check email and Sailnet regularly - most places have a library and most libraries have internet. If you know you will be down (or up) there - send us a PM and we can share emails or phone numbers.

So far the schedule is to join the Seven Seas Cruising Association ( as an invited people) Downeast Gam at Islesboro, on Aug. 6, 2011

Other plans are open.

Just a thought.

Shalom all

Have a super summer sailing.

Rik, Linda and Captain Hook

paulk is on a distinguished road
We're heading up that way, but won't be leaving Newport RI before Aug 9. Be sure to check out Somes Sound, it's an easy daysail from Isleboro. We also enjoyed Blue Hill, Brooklin (Woodenboat) and Stonington. This time we're heading up the western shore first: Tennant's Hbr, Rockport, (avoiding Camden) Belfast, Searsport, Castine, North Haven, and then Deer Isle some more.

Bummer - would have loved to hook up. This is our tenth trip in that area. Safe sailing!

Sorry, Rik, but thanks for the idea. As you know, we just got back a couple of weeks ago. Loved it up there and look forward to returning. Maybe next time.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.
