Hello from a newbie

Hello Chad,

Thanks for responding, despite my annoying title. I checked out the site you identified and the 16'' Sparrow looks very much like my boat (16'' Guppy). The only difference I can see is the windows. My boat has three round windows. The id number on my boat begins with MM, which I have found out, identifies Melen Marine as the manufacturer, so I am sure it is a Guppy. However, I can''t find anything specific. I just want to find out a little history about the boat. I guess I can alaways write to Melen Marine if they still exist. Maybe I will approach it from that angle. I tried finding them on the internet, no results.

Thanks again

Hello from a newbie

Found this via Google in case you hadn''t come across it yet

<a href="http://www.shortypen.com/boats/pocket/guppy/">http://www.shortypen.com/boats/pocket/guppy/</a>

See the note about 16'' Guppy.

Hello from a newbie

Hello Ron,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have visited shortypen.com. The 16'' Guppy he identifies is my boat. I am starting to think I have the only one. Haven''t been able to contact anyone else that owns one. The hull # on my boat is 001.

Thanks again,
Jay
