HUZZAH!! HUZZAH!!

A fine tale ye weave there Pirate of Pine Island! Wo be to a lesser man, that man shall not have lived long under the spray. Huzzah to ye! A stronger or more able a pirate there never was. Ye show us how to LIVE!

HUZZAH to ye pirate!

May the gods of the briny still shine on ye.

BigRed

Ya know, m'' lad. You and I have got come to anchor in the same harbor one of these days. And when that day happens, we''ll turn this sorry state of sailing today upside down!

My cabin girls had to live through the same "go-to-hell" adventures and mis-adventures as does yours. They''re 16 and 18 now and I doubt they''ll ever be "normal" for it all! If they can''t change their world, well, at least I''ve given them the ability to sail and fight their way out from under it before it crushes ''em.

I’ll tell you of one time, we was coming west from the Fox Islands bound for Rockport ME. The blackest, nastiest, angriest squall I’d ever seen was closing in on us, coming out from Rockland way. I tucked the double reef, rolled up the window shade and left up the inner jib.

When I got back to the cockpit, my girl was shaking and crying in fear. I offered to run away from it, down to Mussel Ridge Channel or back into the Thoroughfare but through her choking tears she said to me:

“No Daddy, I need to go through this so I won’t be afraid of it anymore”.

Even though they do some crazy and stupid things some times, I’m still proud to know that they are the fruit of me loins!

I lift this one then, To our Cabin Girls. And when our time comes, we can rest isey down with Davey Jones knowin’ that our lot will be well taken care of up here!

PS. I like me wenches with a bit more,,, meat on their bones? You may like the J-Lo type, I guess I go more for the Jell-O ones!

Good on ya!
