NORFOLK - Four people are charged in a series of thefts from boats in the East Ocean View section of Norfolk.
Electronics, fishing gear, boat parts and a boat disappeared earlier this year from marinas or from watercraft parked on private property.
Police say they got a break on june 22 when agents with the Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries saw two men in a truck attach a boat and trailer and drive off with it.
That boat was recovered, along with items taken from home break-ins and what investigators believe is heroin.
Investigators say some of the stolen items had been sold to a business and the suspects' friends.
While making three arrests, police say suspected heroin was also seized.
Authorities wouldn't say where some of the items were found or what's been located.
The investigation continues.
