Peterson 46
Hello. We rather like the look of the Peterson 46 as a candidate for some cruising in the western Pacific. The idea is live aboard two people six or so months at a time. We would appreciate opinions from people who have cruised these boats in relation to livability and sailing performance. Don't need opinions on alternatives, just the kp 46 or the kp 44. Thanks in anticipation.

both lovely boats. center cockpit high and dry, pallacial below. the tunnel to the aft stateroom can be a head banger for us 6 footers. doug peterson draws a clean hull form. cruised the 44 in mexico a while back and loved it.
get a survey from someone other than the broker recommends. best |
Missed the post. We have a Peteson 46. Lived on her for a couple of years. What would you like to know?
In May 2009, I did about 800nm to windward and another 400 on a beam reach. August 09 I went 400nm on one tack. For this total distance or about 1600nm we averaged aver 7 kn. The boat is comfortable for us with 3 on board (and a cat). It is easy to sail safely, quite fast.
