The question becomes, "what is cheap?" Some clubs, most if not all are non profit mind you, $20 for an award is too much. Other scoff if you do not spend at least $200.
With that options.
Try an local glass shop/engraver. National Etching is one. Altho probably not local for you, they have a website and ship across the nation.Mine and a few other local clubs use them for awards. We get pint beer cups for about $12-13 IIRC. Cup is about $6, engraving about $5. Eric or Dave is who you want to talk to. national etching dot com is the website, at "info at" for email
Sponsors if a bigger race may help cover some of the costs.
If it is for annual within the club. My club gets a vase for folks, then use it for 4 yrs/seasons worth of places etc with in the club. So in our case, the $30-40 vase is engraved yearly for about $5-10 along with the initial year purchase.
One club does hats with placing on them. About $15 per hat.
