What would be interesting would be to keep a log of weekend conditions on the lake from say now until end November. I betcha that even on wet weekends it would be less unpleasant than our weekend.

BentSailor will become famous soon enough
Probably correct - though I've been told this weekend is going to suck. And yet looking at the forecast, still not as badly as it did when we were out

No weekend will ever equal those conditions Bent. Even sailors who crewed in the '98 Hobart agree with that. Those old timers who watched from the shore shivered in their boots and vowed that we stand tall amongst the greats and it was worst of all where we were. The other boats got off lightly.

Well kiddies, its time to unstick this tired old thread and let it pass into the mist.

The HCW was something of a somewhat weird Twilight Zonish high from the year now past. That, a new Womboat and fun filled adventures with my sweetheart Wombet while again hanging out here and there with the various reprobates from forums far and wide.

I do hope you all had a fine time celebrating the incoming NewYear but for now and to paraphrase good old Banjo Patterson ... "The Wombats gone a Sailing, and we don't know where he are".

Later.

Wombat, TD. Esq.
