Slugomatic Corporation fails to keep new rig under wraps

In yet another botched attempt at news management at the Slugomatic Corporation of bucks pictures have emerged this week of the long rumoured new rig.

For months now the yachting press has been alive with persistent rumours that the design team at the Slugomatic Corporation of Bucks were working on rig that would incorporate a number of new features never before seen in the sailing world.

This week covert photographers pretending to be ornithilogists and twitchers have been on the look out for the new rig which was believed to be undergoing field trials in Northamptonshire – a county renowned the world over for its track record in the aviation industry and shoes.

“It could only be a matter of time before Dylan Winter – who has recently been taking the marine engineering world by storm – should turn his hand to rig design” said a sailor.
We understand that over the coming days more details of the new rig are expected to emerge.
The Corporation is working on a name for the rig – at the moment it is being called the “Slugomatic River Drop” rig - although insiders call it the "dropsy".

Details of the rig and its innovative design are still officially secret but members of the leaky design team have been telling neighbours and anyone who will listen that the performance of the slug has been "utterly transformed".

The fact that the Slugomatic Corporation has decided to throw its not inconsiderable resources into the development of a new rig in the centre of the aviation innovation (and shoe) capital of the world suggests that over the next few days we can expect to see cutting edge technology and materials being used in entirely new ways.

“we are very excited about this,” said another sailor.

Does that last pic indicate that you have resorted to peddle power to supplement "The Beast"??

I did attempt to blag a couple of bikes from Briomptons

told them that their bikes would be seen by thousands of sailors

they took a look at the films and the slug and decided that the image was not at all right for their company

well...

KTL not good enough for a bike company

there go my dreams of that Jaguar sponsorship I have been aiming for
