offshore in a 33 ph Saturna

After sailing in the PNW/Alaska and BC for fifteen years we are considering a passage south.I am looking for info/advise to equip a 33 Saturna pilothouse for this. I am wondering if anyone has knowledge on how to build storm windows as the glass is 1/4 in thick. Any info is apreaciated. thank you
