GWS 10 Wind Sensor Just Fell Off

Just heard a loud noise on the deck. Went out to see and found the wind direction indicator vane of my one year old GWS 10 laying on the deck. Not a bit of breeze out tonight: so it just fell off.

Nothing looks broke on it- before I go up the mast tomorrow- anyone have any idea of what holds this on top of the anemometer?

Maybe it was a bird landing on it which broke it. Mine has a cap on top of it holding it on
