Any SSCA Commodores here?

This year we (wife and I) decided to apply for Commodore status and from Galapagos to Australia did not find any current Commodores to ask if they would sponsor us. Perhaps this happened because we went off the beaten track (Galapagos to Easter, rather than Marquesas) and because we were a month or so ahead of most of this season's puddle-jumpers.

Any Commodores who would consider sponsorship? Thanks

Have you tried the Member Locator at ssca.org? You need to log in to make it work. Look for cruising stations also ... if I recall correctly you only need one sponsor if you are in a remote area.

I did try the member locator and there were surprisingly few Commodores in either the South Pacific or Eastern Caribbean and no one that we had met. I suspect that many (most?) Commodores do not have their positions reported there. Thanks for the thought though.

Did you find anyone? I can put out a call to find some Commodores if you haven't.

Not yet

Just returned to Canada for a visit and thought I would go through the boat cards we picked up (mainly two years ago in the Eastern Caribbean) and see who I can find. To be honest, I have not followed up on this matter for a few months but plan to.
