I agree with NewportNewbie that it's a J/29 - and seems to be a fractional rather than masthead version, because I only saw one set of spreaders in the bow-on shot at the end of the ad.

"drynoc" said "It has beautiful lines. I'll take two."

And at the risk of being commercial - you can have mine, for the right price... the shackle at the head of the main-sheet tackle is still in good shape, btw... (lol)

I'm sorry, but that is not a j/29. I was in the area when they were beginning to shoot the commerical, the boat I saw was no bigger than 10 feet. MAX!. So unless there's some magic potion for tripling the size of sailboat, I believe you are all mistaken.

Does anyone by chance know if it's posted online anywhere? Or if someone has it on DVR, maybe could cap it and post it? I saw it once but haven't seen it since.

There was no outboard, it was removed for filiming and the boat was being pulled to and from location each day. You are correct, the sails don't look right on that shot from Sailing Anarchy. Shame. It's too difficult to get the actor, sailboat, wind, backround, lighting and equipment to co-operate for every shot I guess.
I didn't see the commercial yet, I guess it won't air in Canada, so I'll have to find it somewhere on the net.

BTW, getting paid $6k for 3 days of sailing is not a bad gig for an actor sans boat. The boat is owned by a female sailor and I had no problem with getting paid for having my boat star in an erectile disfunction drug commercial As a girl, I find all these 'hard posts' quite amusing. Besides, there is nothing wrong with having a pharmaceutical giant pay for a large chung of my new racing main...
I didn't know J-Boats was building in wood these days.

Isn't the whole point of Viagra to triple the size of things?

At the reputed $15 / pill, I'd expect the "full masthead" version. I wouldn't be satisfied with only being "fractionally rigged".
Faster likes this.

Sure looks like a J-boat to me. I love those ads - especially the part about potential vision problems. To plagiarize the response to the old joke about single handed sex - I'll stop taking it when I need glasses.

The other side effect is amusing as well - after 4 hours I'd certainly be seeking SOME kind of assistance.
