Commercial

Has anyone seen the viagra commercial with the guy in the sailboat? What kind of boat is that? It has beautiful lines. I'll take two.

I think that's the Beneteau Flaccide 38. Or it might be the Jenneau Impuissant 40.

Hard to tell.

Is it me, or is he sailing with his jib inverted in one scene? It looks as though the Genoa is pulled to starboard, yet the wind is also from that direction making the jib rest against the shrouds. Nice looking sail, too.

Edit- I just saw the pics in the thread called 'Facepalm Sailors'. This is called being 'backwinded', eh? Also, the boat is being towed.....

Sorry, but that does not look like a forty foot boat to me. 29-30 feet, perhaps.

That's hilarious Smack!

I agree with the others that you might be overestimating the size; something that Viagra can't help him with.

It appears to be a Beneteau and yes, the headsail is aback (the guy's motoring) "hard-on" the wind.

I think we need at least another couple pages of 'keeping you mast up' jokes.

Its not a Beneteau, its a J/29. The guy who owned it and sold it has the info on the story on Sailing Anarchy, including how much the guy got for the commercial...It is a nice boat! Apparently the ad agency showed up at a few yacht clubs looking for a 50ish expert sailor with a yacht. Pay was $6,000. Almost no one wanted to be in an erectile disfunction commercial..lol..
