marine surveyor - league city, tx

I'm considering the purchase of a sloop in league city, tx. I live in florida. I have access to the SAMS list of accredited marine surveyors, but wonder if anyone has first hand experience with surveyors in the area and can make a recommendation. thanks, rag man

Mike Firestone

He lives in Port Aransas but surveys lots of boats in that area. We used him for our boat. He is an EXCELLENT surveyor and will even go up the mast. He even impressed the owner of the boat we were buying and he used him to survey his next boat! Very thorough and very detail oriented. He is considered one of the top surveyors, when we got our insurance, the insurance agent saw who did the survey and commented that he was very good.

I will PM you his contact information.

Ditto for Mike Firestone....He surveyed my boat before I purchased it and he traveled to the League City area to do it....He came highly recommended to me and did a great job.
