See. Once you're past the jetty, all is well. Now fit that puppy with a dodger and a tiller pilot and you're good to go. Bird Rock (Two Harbors) is only 31 miles away and an easy reach both coming and going from Newport.

This is why we all sail! Next time you are out, head north toward Long Beach and keep a sharp eye out for the Blue Whales. A group of about a dozen have been seen feeding off the harbor and out several miles. Have you seen any dolphin yet? There are at least four different species off taht section of the coast.

I will. Yeah I saw a bunch of whales. No dolphins although last week I saw two swim into the harbor then etched them turn around about 1/4 mile in and go back out.
