Whats the right way around the "Horn"

maybe silly question but a lengthy discussion between a couple of club members brought this up.

Whats the easy ( correct, most travelled ) route around the Horn ..

From East to West
or
from West to East

ps. it might NOT be the direction the big Multihulls or the Volvo Around the world races are run , but the COMMON way around.

WEST TO EAST
The only race to go east to west is the BT Global Challenge. The next one is set for 2004-2005, and I think starts next September.

Yea, West to East. I think that it''s because the prevailing winds/waves blow in that direction and it''s easier to reach than beat into it.
