new stay broke dam

two months ago i bought two stays port and starboard. todays plan was to go out sailing nice day plenty of wind. i row out to the boat look at the motor just looking at it. then i get on the boat and notice that the starboard stay if friggin broke i just bought it. so now my sailing season is done. And now i'm on a rush job to finish the trailer that also broke at the boat ramp, but it now home. so this boat is just becoming a pain. i know thats what boats are but jeez. can't i have a good sail.

Demand replacements! who made them? You can rig up your own with hardware store stuff in the meantime.

Kid, I think you're great, you're my kind of sailor, I love your enthusiasm and your balls to the wall style, but fercriminy's sake, reading your posts you sound like Tonto, or Frankenstein, or one of those insurance company cavemen.
The more articulate and educated you sound, the less likely that some SOB rigging shop will try to fornicate you over on this bogus rigging.
Don't pull your boat yet, kid. To paraphrase Bluto, The season ain't over until we decide it is.
