Re arm kit for Mustang MD1170
 

I have an old Mustang MD1170 inflatable PFD that went off this past summer so I need a rearm kit. Problem is, Searching the internet I can't even find it listed anywhere. Anyone know where I can get one?

I can't find this model listed there. Probably have to call them and try to talk to a real person.

Last time I emailed them, gave them model and s/n for my offshore pants, looking for comparable jacket, had email with links back within a day, they should be able to help you or send you to nearest dealer.

I have emailed them a few days back. Hopefully I'll hear from them. Thanks for the advice.

All being said an done Mustang says you can't get a rearm kit for this PFD anymore. so looks like I am out of Luck. I'll try to see if it can be adapted to a manual or not.

I guess the real question is - cobble up a 'suitable' arrangement or buy some new gear. How about both, something totally reliable when the poop hits the fan, and the old stuff as a back up. What is your life/safety (or your crews') worth when you are at the point of no return?

That is exactly what I use this for. I have DOT approved PFDs for everyone on board but this old inflatable is nice as a back up and it has a great harnes
