Interesting Read...

Anyone here know the guy Nick who has a collection of videos on youtube of making some good successful passages in a Contessa 26 named Constellation? Anyway, he had sold his boat in Austrailia when he completed a passage. Below is what happened just a few days ago to the guy who bought the boat from him. Although it sounds like a very scary situation to be in, I thought it was an interesting read...

Wow- interesting read, indeed. You just gotta have sympathy for a guy in a situation like that, just "screwing the pooch", if you will. I'm sure the boat would have been fine if he'd just hung on and rode out the storm... and I bet he's replayed all the what-if's a zillion times in his head since getting back home. I hope he gets the boat back without getting ripped too badly by that opportunistic fisherman!

This fellow was clearly not prepared to single hand an overnight much less a multiple day passage. Sad that it ended as it did given that it would have not been hard to avoid.
