swells are easier then chop any day. Did a tropical storm in open water, 25 to 40 kt winds and seas 12 to 14 ft out of the south. We were heading west under sail and had no problem taking everything broadside.

Sailed Long Island Sound with a west wind of 20 kt and chop at 6 to 7 ft. It was not a nice ride, very rough.
