Adventure Sailing Books?

I'm looking to buy a few good adventure sailing books for my girlfriends dad for Christmas and was looking for some suggestions. I know he's read In The Heart Of The Sea and really liked that, but not sure what other's he has read.

I know he's done a few races across some of the Great Lakes and has been sailing for a long time.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
