Hull transducers
Trying to figure the best place for my Nexus depth and speed transducers. The boat is a Sonic 30 (Hull #1); a ULDB designed by Carl Schumacher, and based on his Sonoma 30 design from the eighties. The balsa cored hull is narrow at the waterline with a nearly flat run aft. Although forward of the retractable keel is the logical place, I wonder if anyone has had experience with a speed transducer located aft of the keel. This would put it behind the forward 1/3 of the boat, but would turbulence be a problem.
