Delivery costs
While I am waiting for my house to sell I do my research on boat purchase.
As in Australia boats are in rediculous prices ( recent for sale Clansman 30 footer, asking price $59k - would you believe it ! ). I am looking at our eastern friends US.
Possibility to purchase my boat there is more likely, there is a Nor'sea in Honolulu ( nice little pocket cruser) and restored Mariner 31 will be shortly also available.
What would be a cost to bring ( sail ) one of them to Australia ?.
Does any one did this ? And if you did, do you have any problems with legal paperwork ?
Would it be cheaper if someone sail to Australia and sell here ( possibility to cover importing costs ).
Also, possibility to purchase in states and sail back with experienced sailor ( where I would learn and gain offshore experience).
