Looks like a terrific boat. Dodgers are necessary but they rarely (if ever) add to the aesthetics. Since this was a Hood/Empacher hull style hull form was there ever discussion about a centerboard? Guess that would not be much of a priority on the left coast.

Killarney:
No mention of a CB out here. No need for one. My mooring ball sits in 50' of water.

My objection to the dodger was based on the fact that the boat had a raised pilot house with an extremely comfortable inside steering station.

Many thanks for checking the blog out. My morning's work is vindicated.

Enjoyed that entry, and just wanted to mention to be sure to click on the drawings... they pop up in all their splendour nice and big...

So.. despite the obvious time savings... do you ever miss actually hand drawing?

Thanks for the kind words.

I think I'll add that bit abotu clicking on the drawings. Thanks again.

No, I do not really miss hand drafting. I think my own acad drawings are beautiful. And, I am not free of awkwardly large rolls of drawings.

Get your mind out of the gutter!

If you go back to the blog I have just added some very nice photos of YONI.

Say no more.

I like this blog. I started college as an Architecture major, so I know more about those tools than I do about sailing. Which doesn't say much.

Wow. An opera fan who also likes Dire Straits and the blues.
I'll bet you listen to classical AND jazz as well?
Nice blog entry Bob.
Keep them coming.

Perhaps you could take up sketching to keep your 'in real life' (IRL is one of those internet thingy abbreviations) drawing skills up to snuff?

I could not find a lecherous interpretation of the name or initials 'YONI', even on the internet. It must be like the one about the flood... and is over my head.
