Cant get there from here!!!!!!!

Ok so I know you can get here from there but is it worth it?
Lake Huron Mi. to my home town East Tn... Well that where my boat is and will reside. So from northern Mi down to the windy the on the skinny down to Alabam back up and over. I’m looking at a sweetie of a gal (said she wants to spend the rest of her life with me) up there and a quickie estimate is around three grand to bring her home, Hell Id rather motor the whole way than to truck it but that pesky thing called a JOB calls. Have to pay for our loves somehow I guess. So what do ya think? Water for a month (or two) or $3000.00 more or the open road?

Now now

But isn't that the point in sailing? Its about the trip not the job...
I have a five year plan. Ever had one of thoes? Ok so it takes ten or never happens but ya got ta dream or whats the point.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

It's a question of what you have more of: time, or money. If you have the time, float the boat. If you don't, pay it's way. You'll both end up in the same place, hopefully.

Don't get me Wrong the trip by water is one to be made, but at the same time you need to keep the job, i returned to work driving truck so i can get a Bigger new to me boat, so i understand the dream, you can live it and keep the job, or you might find you cant afford the dream.

Plan your trip well and have about 6 places you can leave her if you run short on time.

Might be able to get a friend from Chattanooga to help in the move? how big is she and where are you going, Don is not employed and might want to make the trip, wont know until he is asked.
