Looking for an easy way to insulate...

Are there any "quick fixes" for insulating a 30 foot sailboat?

When we lived aboard for a couple of winters in NYC we insulated the hull with some of that bubble wrap stuff with aluminum on each side. We attached it with heavy duty double-sided tape (both from Home Depot). You don't really need a lot of the tape. Seemed to reduce the hull condensation and was fairly cheap and easy to do.

Great, I was thinking along the same lines...and the doubled sided tape sounds easy enough

Indoor/outdoor carpeting works as well, its what some of the other liveaboards around me use.

Wish I had the room to tape on bubble wrap. The indoor/outdoor carpet in my boat controls condensation somewhat but doesn't insulate very well.

Sure hope it warms up a bit here, soonest. There was a half-inch of light, crusty ice on the docks this morning. I'm going to have to start refilling my own small propane canisters.

My buddy who lives on his Catalina 27 has installed styrofoam in all the ports, when fleece curtains over that. Not sure what he's got on the hull.
