I'm a little freaked out by this accident. I usually am alone when leaving the marina in the morning. I'll take baby steps and precautions such as the Microspikes when coming and going in icy conditions.

Yes, I see many many people down at the marina whom I think are not taking enough care for their lives and their passengers'.

I picked up the little shoe spikes last night and I felt very safe walking the icy docks this morning. Still, I take baby steps. Nothing is level, nails stick out, many hazards. I wear a head lamp around my neck so it shines down on the dock when negotiating my way to and from the car every evening and morning.

They still haven't found the body.

That's very true. Once I put on mine, I don't even feel like I'm wearing anything.
