Moving the Oliver Hazard Perry

"Rhode Island’s Education-at-Sea School Ship, the SSV Oliver Hazard Perry, tested the waters of Providence Harbor and upper Narragansett Bay on Monday, December 12, when it was launched at Sims Metal Management (formerly Promet Marine) in Providence and towed to its new home at Senesco Marine in North Kingstown’s Quonset Point. "

"At Senesco Marine, one of the Northeast’s premier shipyards for new construction and vessel repair, the non-profit organization Oliver Hazard Perry Rhode Island (OHPRI) will continue building the 196’ (sparred length) steel-hulled ship.

I was part of the design team for this Oliver Hazard Perry (FFG7) back in the 1970s:

What a mess! We saw the hulk moored in Newport, and it looked better then than in the picture above. They may be able to do something with bulwarks creating a sheer, more volume, and a better looking profile, but I'm not holding my breath.
