A Paddle float and splash skirt for the kayak. New gloves and hat for the big boat.

For the admiral, a new sailing shirt from Catalina

I was very adamant that this year's Christmas should be low-key, and to scale back the gifts. I'm getting more and more turned off by materialism and commercialism as I get older.

As a result, I got a copy of "Yacht Design According to Perry" and a subscription to Good Old Boat magazine, which I much appreciate.

Dry storage box, 2 knives, ACR PLB (b/c they want me to come back from Bermuda this year), a camping towel, new pair of gloves.

PLB is already registered.

I bought a nice sailing ship water color for the newly painted bathroom. Also, a Wooden Sailing Square Rig Model. I also bought myself a Brass Victory Thermometer/Hygrometer that matches the clock on the starboard side.

Got a Pirate Flag, finally.

Just ordered some Musto Foulies just this morning, that I hope to collect by week's end.

You did great - I picked up that book as soon as it was out. Very entertaining - the only problem was it was too short. GOB is the best mag on the market right now IMHO.

I, myself, personally intend to continue being outspoken and opinionated, intolerant of all fanatics, fools and ignoramuses, deeply suspicious of all those who have "found the answer" and on my bad days, downright rude.

Yes, it is, and I'm renewing it after letting it lapse last 2 issues. GOB is awesome.
