What are your new years (sailing-related) resolutions?

Perhaps you noticed your waterline sink a few inches over the holidays?? Are you resolved to float on your DWL starting in Jan? Do you plan to keep that varnish looking ship-shape? Maybe you have a racing, or cruising goal?

What is your (sailing related) new years resolution?

Mine? I plan to do everything I can to make the boat more sail-able this year. Removal of all barriers to leaving the dock is my plan!

For me that means making the boat quick to get out of the slip with better docklines and my stuff stowed better. Also I plan to add Mack-Packs this year making taking the sail covers off and on a non-issue. This will also make the boat easier to single/short-hand, allowing me to take out more inexperienced crew. Basically, I want to be able to have it be easy and "worth it" to go for even this shortest of trips.

What's yours?

My sailing resolution is to buy a sailboat. Sounds simple enough. Somethig around 25-27 ft that the wife and I can grow into. Also to talk to my neighboor ab free dockage at his
marina. Last but not least to rent a hobie for an afternoon on my next rotation home.

I plan on doing a way more sailing.
Going to take some time off this summer and go somewhere with the Admiral. We'll head north, Sunshine Coast, maybe Desolation Sound.

To install a couple of new deck cleats on the foredeck, and keep training myself to be more comfortable heeling.
