Japan Tsunami Impacts?

Has anyone reported any collisions with debris from the Japan Tsunami?
I know a lot of stuff was washed out to sea.
It's washing up on the shores of British Columbia now.
Cheers and Happy New Year

Not that I have heard. I am concerned because I have a couple of around Vancouver Island trips scheduled starting in April. They involve some overnight trips.

Nothing like running into a semi-submerged cargo container or a giant log, eh?
I've heard that there is a community photo logging articles washed ashore as some are of a personal nature.

They calculate that by tidal/ocean currents, I imagine?
