how blessed....?....

This my neck of the woods....

Caledonia Canal - YouTube

It is not my video, but can you spot the Union Polaris 36 on there?

How blessed I am to have a sailboat here.

The video is not in any particular order, but that is Loch Ness at about 00.44 to 1.00.

And Loch Lochy at about 3.30.

My own favourite is Loch Oich at the canal summit, at 2.42.

And we have salt water at each end, too.

And the wind blows here.

Great God, this is a lovely place.

How blessed I am.

Rockter.

Nice video. Beautiful scenery.

What is the time on the video that shows your boat?

Regards,
Brad

Come on Bene!
Union Polaris 36... freeze the video at exactly 40 seconds.
That's her on the right with the blue hull and partial white cover.
It must have been spring 2009 or earlier because I fitted a longer boom cover in 2010.
I notice some snow on the hills in the video, so it must be quite early in the season.
I need to sail her more. The ship is 100 miles from where I live and it is not easy to get crew.
In the spring I move to the West Coast and I will catch up on some maintainence including those leaky chainplates.

If you ever visit, look me up and you can sail my ship on Loch Ness with the mist and the monster.

I rememeber one October going down there in the dead of night in the rain. I got a funny depth reading of 80 ft (in about 500 ft of water) and thought the monster was paying me a visit. I had to stop the ship then. It was black as the ace of spades, too, but my trusty Volvo got us to Fort Augustus.

The fridge works, the heater works, the motor runs, the decks leak a bit, the chainplates leak a bit but you can't fix everything.
