Great idea!

I think paintballs are biodegradable, and the range of those guns are not too big. If people just wear ski masks you've got it.

Definitely would be fun! Some kind of water cannon would be preferable to balloons due to the debris factor.

SloopJonB will become famous soon enough
If you want to get serious about this, how about compressed air potato cannons with jet skis as the enemy. A famous local newspaper columnist was reputed to have a shore battery version at his home on a local island.

My hardin45 has four ports in each side that can be used for gun ports. Thus the paint ball gunners are well protected.
Plus two on each side of the afterhouse, giving my vessel a broadside of seven, not counting any deck gunner that may be aboard. wanta have fun??

Cook the potato's (for a potato gun), and they will break up better upon impact (less/no boat damage, non toxic "ammo")...

If this gets going on the Chesapeake, I want in...

Hmm...hard to see an egg retaining it's structural integrity when fired from a potato type cannon I think...

I suppose we could throw eggs by hand, but as a yachtsman I would have to object to such vulgarity...
