A guy that wants to build a sailboat, with a very large budget and has not already contacted a NA, posts to a generic production boat list about his plans that are suspect on the front side are worth exactly what Mr Perry provided....

BTW, I do not know Mr Perry, would be delighted to do so. Were I building a custom sailboat, of any kind larger than 20', he would be on my short list to contact on the front side.

Note to Bob, better to find out now, rather than later.

This is clearly not a rational, reasoned issue with usmc1833. His responses here and in the "sister" thread show that he is fixed on this design. He doesn't want a group of people (no matter how well-credentialed or well meaning) telling him what a bad idea he has. I'm old enough to know that you should never insult a man's wife or his boat.

Learning to recognize and TAKE good advice is something I, luckily, learned early.

I have since learned that many people get well on in years before making that discovery and some never do. Spending your whole life learning EVERYTHING the hard way must be tough.
