Bahama bound

Hi All I am sailing to the Bahamas and I checked with Verison and found out that my cell phone would not work there. They said to get a calling card and use a pay phone. I heard that some sailer's buy a cell phone there then sell them to other boats when they leave. It will be my first time there so it should be an adventure.

My dad is in the Abacos right now. He bought a prepaid cell and adds minutes when needed or he skypes when the internet is connection is good.

Thanks for the info about the prepaid phone, that sounds like the best deal.
