A sunny day off Chicago. Club racing NE off Navy Pier, cruisers dinking around SE of the city off Monroe Harbor and this showed up out of nowhere from west of the city just before 2 in the afternoon. What the pics didn't capture was the intense lightning within the cell as the storm swallowed up the club racers




Twenty minutes later it was raining and blowing so hard you could barely see much past the bow. This is the same storm system that went on to hit the Indiana State Fair and collapse the Sugarland stage killing six and injuring 40+ roughly six hours later.
