I blog the SLIVER project

Here is a new design from my office being built now in Hadlock Washington for a local client. I think you will find this boat a bit different from today's typical boat.

Please visit my blog and visit it often.
Thanks.

I can picture her sliding through the water with barely a ripple.... very cool. Utilizing the F40 rig was clever too.

Here in Vancouver moored at the Maritime Museum there's a cold molded bright finished Gary Mull double ender, similar concept - frac rig, canoe stern daysailer, modern underbody (for its day). She's only 34 feet but always looks great underway. I wonder if you're familiar with that one?

Bob, that's a very beautiful boat. Do you mind that I post about it on the interesting sailboat thread, with a link to your blog, of course?

Regards

Paulo

Paulo:
Thank you. Be my guest. Glad you thought of that.

Faster:
I have a vague recollection of that boat. I'd love to see a photo of it.

Thanks.
A tiller steered 60 footer - I'd say that's atypical. It will be a spectacular boat for sure.

Now you have to tell us about Uncle Mick.

After studying the pics for I bit I have a question - will a boat that narrow surf downwind?

There's a lot of stuff on Oceanus in Gardens book on design. The last issue includes an updated version he drew just for fun.

It would be interesting to sail on a boat that extremely skinny - a L/B ratio of more than 6 - gives a whole new meaning to the term "canoe body".
